2nd Forum of the Baltic and Black Seas “Europe Today. The Baltic Consensus (1987-1991): Historic Significance and Lessons for Today”

March 10, Friday, historic leaders, former Central and Eastern European heads of state, gathered at Vytautas Magnus University (VMU) together with the academic community to take part in the 2nd international forum of the Baltic and the Black Seas,  which was presented at the initiative of countries in the region to cooperate in order to create distrust and conflict.

 

Former European heads of countries who have contributed to the continent’s development in the recent took part in the Forum: Valdas Adamkus (Lithuania), Vytautas Landsbergis (Lithuania), Viktor Yushchenko (Ukraine), Leonid Kuchma (Ukraine), Peter Lučinskis (Moldova), Arnold Riutelis (Estonia), Lech Walesa (Poland) and Gennady Burbulis (Russia).
