Lithuania in the Works of the Czech Artists

Firstly the exhibition “Lithuania in the Works of the Czech Artists” was opened on August 3, 2016 in Brno, Czech Republic. On September 19 the exhibition was opened in Lithuania, in Vilnius Gediminas Technical University Library. This exhibition was initiated and organized by Virginija Kočarova, a member of the Board of the Lithuanian Community in the Czech Republic, in cooperation with the Honorary Consul of the Republic of Lithuania in the Czech Republic Petr Sláčala, the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Lithuania, Lithuanian and Czech Society.

The exhibition showcases around 50 paintings, etchings, photographs and ethnical weaved works that show the Czech authors‘ experiences related to Lithuania. During the opening ceremony a folklore group called „Elnyaz“ will introduced to the Lithuanian folklore musical traditions.
The exhibition will be open in Kaunas Faculty of Vilnius Academy of Arts from the 26th of October until the 15th of November, 2017
