Special Gift To Georgia On Its Independence Day

On the occasion of the Independence Day of Georgia Kaunas City made a special gift and lighted up Christ’s Resurrection Church in the colours of Georgian flag on Thursday.
Lights projections on the church tower appeared in late evening (about 10.30 PM) and lasted until early morning.
„Relations between Lithuania and Georgia are special. Georgia‘s Holiday is also Lithuania‘s Holiday. We are happy to colour the city crown – Resurrection of Christ Church with Georgian flag colours”, – Simonas Kairys, Kaunas City Deputy Mayor said.
