On 17 July, from 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, the NATO Multinational Battlegroup is hosting an international football tournament at the Lithuanian Football Academy Stadium (51 Aukštaičių St., Kaunas). Teams from five different nations will compete in a mini “World Cup” tournament.

The aim of the event is to bring together NATO Allied soldiers deployed in Lithuania and the Lithuanian Armed Forces Iron Wolf Brigade, showcase sportsmanship through an exciting tournament, and strengthen ties with the Kaunas community by demonstrating that NATO Allies are here to support and defend Lithuania.

Teams representing the Netherlands, Norway, Croatia, Germany, and Lithuania will take part in the tournament. All teams will first compete in the group stage, followed by knockout matches to determine the winner of the NATO Football Cup.

In addition to exciting football matches, spectators will be able to enjoy food truck offering coffee, snacks, and soft drinks. There will also be games and activities for both children and adults, with the chance to win prizes and souvenirs from the NATO Multinational Battlegroup.
