,,Stumbling stones“ will remember Kaunas citizens killed during the Holocaust

Kaunas has joined the biggest open air memorial in Europe. You can find ,,Stumbling stones“ in 18 European countries in more than 50 000 places. Since last Sunday ,,Memorial stones“ can be found in Kaunas City.
5 memorial plaques were fixed on the pavement in 4 different places. The first ,,Stumbling stone“ is located in the corner of Laisvės av. 3 and Krėvos st. In this place famous Lithuanian cyclist Isakas Anolikas trained for Olympic Games in Paris (he first represented Lithuanian in 1924 Olympic Games).
Other ,,Stumbling stones“ are dedicated to painters Černė Percikovičiūtė (Miško st. 1) and Jakovas Lipšicas (Darbininkų st. 15), doctors Vladimiras Lazersonas and Regina Lazersonienė-Safočinskaitė (Vydūno av. 67)
