UAB “Kauno autobusai” has used project funds for purchasing 24 new low-floor busses “Solaris” URBINO 12, using compressed natural gas (CNG) as fuel. The new busses are equipped with advanced passenger information, e-ticked marking systems. The project’s benefit for a transport sector is obvious: improvement of economic and environmental efficiency of the transport sector, reduction of pollution emission and greenhouse gas emissions, reduction of fuel consumption, elimination of dependency on a single fuel type, improvement of public transportation quality, and attractiveness and regularity of public transport.
