Fine Art Exhibition REVIVAL

Kaunas artists clubs "Meno sparnai"’ and "Sfinksas" invite to participate at the traditional fine art exhibition, dedicated to February 16th, the Restoration of the State Day, and March 11th, Day of Restoration of Independence.

Exhibitions will take place until March 12, 2019 at Kaunas District  Public Library and Kaunas Culture and Sports Center "Girstutis".

DAY OF RESTORATION OF INDEPENDENCE OF LITHUANIA – MARCH 11th CELEBRATION IN KAUNAS

10:00 – Holy Mass at Kaunas Cathedral Basilica of apostles St. Peter and St. Paul. (Vilniaus g. 1).

10:00 – Holy Mass at St. Michael the Archangel Church (Nepriklausomybės a. 14A).

11:30 – Wind orchestra "Ąžuolynas" concert at the garden of Vytautas the Great War Museum.

11:45 – Carillon music concert with Julius Vilnonis.

12:00 – Solemn commemoration

12:40 – Concert by "Biplan", Sinickis, "Colours of Bubbles".

13:00-15:00 – Creative workshop: tapestry mosaic "Lietuva – mano veidas".

Show your feelings and minds about and for Lithuania. Create your little tapestry, which will become a part of a huge gift for Lithuania.

13:30 – celebration dedicated to March 11th - Day of Restoration of Independence of Lithuania and the year of World’s Lithuanians.

The signatories of March 11 and deportees will share their memories of Lithuanians' struggle for freedom of Lithuania. The opening of the exhibition of Rimutė Balnienė  "Šilko simfonija". The musical program will be presented by Jūratė Dailydėnienė (guitar, violin), Daiva Mažeikaitė (kanklės) and Sofija Ramanauskaitė (soloist).

Announcers: Dalia Poškienė, Vincė Vaidevutė Margevičienė.

Organizers: Lithuanian women university association, Lithuanian Union of Political Prisoners and Deportees Kaunas branch.

15:00 – Choral Music Concert for Lithuanian Restoration of Independence Day "Laisvės varpas".

Participants: mixed choirs of Kaunas Culture Center : "Diemedis", "Gintaras", "Ainiai" and men choir "Perkūnas". Announcer – Edvinas Vadoklis.

20:00 – fires for 11^th of March

During the event, organized by Lithuanian troops of Juozas Vitkus Engineer Battalion, the importance of the 11^th of March will be reminded.
